Rashina Hoda is a Professor of Software Engineering, Director of the HumanAISE Lab, and Associate Dean of Equity Diversity and Inclusion in the Faculty of Information Technology at Monash University. She is an international expert in the human and socio-technical aspects of software engineering at the intersections of artificial intelligence and digital health. Rashina is especially interested in the research and development of safe AI – believing there is no AI safety without equity and inclusion.

She was named the 2025 Top Australian Researcher in Software Systems by The Australian. In 2024, she received the Women of Colour in STEM Guiding Star Mentorship Award for her mentoring of early- and mid-career women in technology. Previously, she was selected as a Superstar of STEM 2021-22 by Science and Technology Australia.
